There is another opening with a mob of five inside that you should kill. Once that is done go out the way you came in (pretend you are going to the elevator) but instead of turning to the elevator make a left. Go the the first opening on your left and clear the mobs in all of the rooms. Once inside the tower go the the Second Teir. If you are up to it you should fight the mobs out side that are en-route to the tower. Locale: Taijins Tower Second and Third Teir (All Teirs must be connected for this to work properly. Anyone that tells you this game is anything better than "okay" has terrible taste and should be ignored.Items Needed: Growth Eggs (only recomended) It's definitely not the worst game ever made but it is well below the standards of Square-Enix (even a Square-Enix long past their golden age). This game is only worth playing if you're trying to complete all the Final Fantasy games for some reason (like I did) or its the only game you have. How anyone could care for anyone in this story is beyond me. Several of them get literally no characterization at all and by the end of the game they have "heroic" moments that elicit all the emotion of a human in a Zac Snyder movie being caught in the rubble of a collapsing building.
The secondary and tertiary characters are even worse. It takes about 20 hours for you to even have any idea who the main characters are on any level deeper than "Angry girl" "Foolish guy" "35 year-old 'old man'" "Optimistic girl" "Child" and "Wears a blue dress". Even if it made sense it would be boring. Exchanges like "Is that a Gran Pulse fal'Cie? No! It's a Cocoon fal'Cie that will turn us into Cieth! But at least we're already Cocoon le'Cie with Eidolons ready to fight for Orphan!" happen constantly and there's no reason at all to care.
Terms are explained clearly if you read the novel's worth of text the game spits at you as you play each section but the story is indigestible garbage on its own.
Not only is the story complete nonsense, it's also horrendously boring. All the criticism of FF13 over the years is completely correct.
